The Ordos Museum by MAD ARCHITECTS Located in Inner Mongolia. Its futuristic shell shape
draws inspiration from Buckminster Fuller’s Manhattan Dome,
encapsulating the museum upon a hill which still was desertic few years
ago. The interior is even more complex with a canyon-like corridor,
galleries housed like blobs connected by bridges, and an atmosphere
where visitors feel as if they had stepped into the future. As a whole
it symbolizes the connection between the past and the future, and has
become the favourite place for local gatherings, giving new spirit to a
young community.
