Polish photographer Kasia Bielska started shooting about four years ago before she decided to take a long break from it all. Now she’s back, and her first story was shot exclusively for Ben Trovato. Three Colors – RED features Ania K from Mango Models, who was styled by Kamila Picz, had make up done by Marcin Szczepaniak and hair by Tymoteusz Pieta from Claudius Hair Tresser Team.
Kasia says this about the story: “- Three Colors – RED is the story of a creature that transcends to another dimension by means of an unreal space and colour. The photos have been inspired by an enclosed space – the interiors of the Park Inn hotel in Cracow, Poland. I had some graphic visions in my mind prior to the shooting, a shape forming from two colours – white and black. As soon as I saw the interiors, however, I knew it was going to be a story of three colours.
She is based out of Cracow, but studies at the film school in Lodz. She says she is inspired by the things around her, may that be colours, light or space: “- It is often a fairytale, though. Ones that come to me in dreams that I still remember in the morning. For some miraculous reason.

Chalet Black Pearl by Philippe Capezzone

Built by Philippe Capezzone, owner and architect of the five star Hotel Kilimandjaro in Courchevel 1850, the Black Pearl Chalet was conceived to “answer the most demanding criteria in terms of luxury and comfort.
A wonderful mix of contemporary design mingled with traditional Savoyard stone and classic woodwork panelling and beautifully finished with many designer materials and furnishings.”
The 3,330 square foot, three story luxury chalet is ideally situated between the village of Val d’Isère and the Funival funicular in La Daille, in the French Alps.

The V magazine commission which featured Naomi Campbell.

Mickalene Thomas: ''That was really fun. The commission was to accompany V’s interview with Naomi in honor of her 40th birthday. I started by photographing Naomi and from there created a painting based on the photograph. I think we both enjoyed the process.''

Working in an array of media, including not only painting but also collage, photography, installation, and video, Michalene Thomas has risen rapidly since her 2006 solo debut. This autumn, the broad range of her output is on display at both the Brooklyn Museum (through January 20, 2013) and Manhattan’s Lehmann Maupin gallery (November 1, 2012, through January 5, 2013).
Mickalene Thomas' muse is her mother. It all started when she used her in a series of photos for a photography class. Those images became the basis for some of  her paintings.

''Our mothers make us and make us who we are. They are like a mirror to us. When I use my mother in my art it implies a deeper relationship in the work, free of exploitation.''
